Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance Tester
Responsibilities
1. Test Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with QA Manager and development teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on project specifications.
- Prioritize test cases and define test coverage to ensure critical areas are thoroughly tested.
- Execute test cases, both manually and, when applicable, through automated testing tools.
- Identify, document, and report defects and issues in a clear and organized manner.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure they meet the defined acceptance criteria.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features and changes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
- Maintain and update regression test suites.
- Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
- Document testing processes and results to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.
- Collaborate with the automation team to identify opportunities for test automation.
- Participate in the development of automated test scripts and maintain automated test suites.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvements to enhance overall product quality.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in QA and testing methodologies.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in software Quality Assurance and testing, including manual and automated testing.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify and document defects effectively.
- Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
- ISTQB or other relevant certifications is a plus.
- Experience with test automation tools and scripting languages is a plus.
- This position may require occasional overtime and weekend work to meet project deadlines.
- The QA Tester may need to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
