Brief on the Organization:
The Institute of Public Health Sciences Hyderabad (IPHSH) is a society registered under Telangana
society’s registration Act 2001 and is managed by an empowered governing board comprising of
corporate leaders, civil society representatives and eminent academic and scientific leaders. IPHSH’s
core mission areas include: establishing and governing the Indian Institute of Public Health-Hyderabad
for developing public health workforce; advancing public health research and technology; and
strengthening health systems through evidence informed practice and policy
The Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) Hyderabad commenced with a mission to deliver public
health education, pursue research and advocacy and support policy development. It lays strong
emphasis on pursuing public health policy, practice, training and research, positioning its programmes
according to the public health priorities of the state and the nation. The institute has brought together
a highly qualified and diverse faculty of nationally and internationally trained and extremely motivated
public health academics and practitioners. It aims to create an environment that supports excellence
in instruction, research and practice.
Coordination and Assisting Registrar/COO
- Report directly to the Registrar/COO, overseeing general administrative activities. Coordinate and manage meetings of various Institute bodies and committees.
- Prepare and present necessary data, taking minutes, and ensuring follow-up for action and implementation.
- To assist the COO and other senior officers in various tasks including Coordinating diverse meetings of various Institute bodies and committees, including the Government, funders, Academic committee, Finance Committee, Research Committee, Examination Committee, and other Committees by effectively compiling and presenting the necessary data.
Record Management:
- Maintain diverse Institute records, including land records, statutory approvals, MoUs, building drawings, statutes, legal documents, policies, rules, and regulations.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Produce reports, letters, papers, and presentations for the Office of COO.
- Compile reports and data for submission to regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
Event Planning:
- Plan and conduct various Institute meetings, events and functions.
- Manage matters related to Administration, Establishment, Legal, and academic regulations.
Collaborations and Agreements:
- Liaise on various collaborations, agreements, and MoUs.
- Engage contractual/outsourcing agencies and manage arrangements/agreements with third-party service providers.
Exercise additional powers and perform duties as determined by the Competent Authority of the Institute.
Essential:
- Postgraduate/ MBA preferred
Essential:
- 7-10 years of experience in academic and general administration in a higher Educational Institution/University
- As an Administrative Officer/ Assistant Registrar/equivalent position with 5+ years of experience in the similar position in a Government/Private Academic/Research Institution/University.
- Familiarity with the use of computers (MS Office) and relevant administrative and office software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
