Serve as the primary contact with all new opportunities. Provides update reports to regional Sales Manager regarding Win/Loss Ratios, Lead Conversions, Quota attainment, and Customer Satisfaction. Demonstrate leadership within peer group. Develop and execute strategies for generating leads, building pipelines and closing opportunities. Exhibits high level of integrity; honesty; keeping commitments and presenting information completely and accurately to both internal and external customers. Expected to have strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management.

- Meet regularly with Regional Sales Manager (India subcontinent) to provide timely and accurate forecasts for the business.
- Effectively lead and manage the sales opportunity to achieve the revenue goals with a strong understanding of the business needs of the customer/ prospective customer.
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain a strong sales funnel.
- Generate new LIMS software business by effectively managing leads and opportunities
- Work closely with sales specialist to deliver excellent product presentations. Design and deliver unique solutions that result in improved outcomes for customer.
- Responsible for selling total solutions to target; non-enterprise accounts (high-risk / upselling renewals; new business)
- Respond to RFIs and RPFs in a professional and timely manner
- Establish and build deep understanding of customer and stakeholder needs.
- In-depth understand of the competitive landscape.
- Build and lead internal cross functional selling team to execute account strategies.
- Analyze impact of market trends and factors on customers
- Establish a strong working relationship with leaders of sales organization, Professional Services, Business Consultants, Support, Marketing, Finance and HR to meet the India subcontinent business goals.
- Anticipates, identifies and meets internal and external customer needs and requests; negates and resolves conflicts; maintains a professional demeanor, even under stressful conditions. A strong advocate of the Abbott quality processes

Education: Masters Degree or higher Computer Science Engineering (Systems), Life Sciences, or other scientific disciplines
Experience : Minimum 5 years - 3 to 5 years industry experience in a laboratory or science-based industry with knowledge of Laboratory Informatics - 3+ years enterprise software sales experience and preferably in Lab Informatics space - Responsible for a sales quota with a proven track record of achieving revenue and margin - Strong knowledge of the India laboratory informatics market - Effective negotiation and communication skills - Fluent in English both written and spoken.
