This role requires a strong background in analytics, prior team management experience, and functional knowledge of the CPG industry, preferably foods and North America retail trends. By leading a team of analysts, the incumbent will be responsible for managing reporting and analytics deliverables, driving process transformation, and leveraging advanced analytics techniques to generate actionable insights.
ResponsibilitiesFunctional Responsibilities:
· Develop and maintain reporting and analysis frameworks to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales strategy. For example – Joint Business Plans, Business At A Glance Reports, Big Bets, Drags & Drivers, etc.
· Utilize syndicated or granular data sources to extract insights and identify trends in consumer behavior, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and translate data findings into actionable recommendations.
· Create visually appealing and insightful presentations (decks) to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
· Leverage advanced analytical techniques to uncover opportunities for growth and optimization within the sales strategy.
· Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions and support strategic decision-making.
· Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data analytics and visualization.
· Ensure delivery of accurate and timely data in accordance with agreed service level agreement
· Focus on speed of execution and quality of service delivery rather than achievement of SLAs
· Scale-up operation in-line with business growth, both within existing scope, as well as new areas of opportunity
· Proven experience using PowerPoint and ability to producing visually compelling presentations (i.e. beyond just operating the software) that are impactful with a senior audience.
Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred. Degree in data science is a plus.
· Minimum 6 years of experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, with a focus on sales strategy and analytics.
· Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders.
· Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including but not limited to Python, SQL, and KNIME.
· Expertise in PowerBI for data visualization and dashboard creation.
· Strong business acumen and functional knowledge of sales, marketing, and retail operations within the CPG sector.
· Experience working with syndicated or granular data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, SPINS) to derive actionable insights.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex data into clear and concise narratives.
· Proven track record of effectively presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Strong attention to detail and a passion for driving business impact through data-driven decision-making.
