Description: Account Manager role focussed on Indian automotive simulation market
Primary tasks:
- Support, expansion and maintenance of business relationships, including with leading international vehicle manufacturers and suppliers.
- Technical sales of innovative solutions for virtual vehicle development, modeling and simulation including software, hardware, test systems and engineering services
- Collaboration in strategic corporate planning and development of account strategies
- Development and presentation of customized, customer-specific solution concepts
- Interface between customers and internal departments as a solution-oriented and creative idea generator
- As a sales expert, lead the development of new business opportunities and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Manage and grow existing client accounts, achieve sales targets, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at client organisations, becoming a trusted advisor and advocate for the company.
- Understand key customers' requirements such as cost, functionality, features, and other performance metrics and promote the corresponding IPG products.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the account/s for all the product lines and offerings to the customer, resulting in increased revenue and market share
- Prepare financial justifications and presentation, quotations and negotiations of specific projects as well as pricing of existing business with special focus on profitability and contracting with customers.
Qualification/ Profile:
- ~10+ years of relevant professional account management/ business development experience in automotive simulation relevant domain.
- Technical or business-oriented degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, electrical engineering, or comparable qualification
- Good exposure to automotive OEMs / Tier-1s
- Understanding of Automotive simulation techniques, test automation frameworks, Hardware in loop, Software in loop, ADAS, Powertrain, Vehicle Dynamics topics is desirable.
- Should have strong experience in setting up, leading, developing and operating validation teams.
- The ability to work successfully with people and win them over.
- Confident, convincing appearance, proactivity, assertiveness, motivation, creativity and intercultural skills
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
