ESG is one of the strategic enablers for Maersk, and you will be joining a group of passionate people within Sustainable Procurement (SP) team which impacts thousands of suppliers globally to drive sustainability standards. In this role, you will be responsible for driving and supporting supply chain sustainability activities into one of the world's largest companies and be a key driver of the Maersk Sustainable Procurement program with focus on compliance and digital excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing guidance and training on global SP program, driving and participating in improvement projects and implementing policies, guidelines and tools.
• Providing specialized advice to our buyers and suppliers on implementing the requirements of the Maersk Supplier Code of Conduct, particularly on employment practices, business ethics, health & safety and environmental compliance in a global and local context
• Conducting SP training workshops and webinars for Maersk buyers and suppliers
• Supporting category managers with understanding audit results and following up on improvement plans and embedding SP compliance requirements into category strategy
• Conducting supplier assessment reviews across categories and countries and advising suppliers on improvement areas, developing, and conducting improvement projects
• Supporting the team in implementing Maersk ESG strategy within procurement activities
• Participating and/or providing guidance to sourcing managers for optimal use of SP terms
• Drawing appropriate solutions from external best practices and applying them internally
• Identifying industry opportunities to collectively drive forward the ESG agenda
• Managing ad hoc projects and stakeholder management.
• Increase adoption of digital tools to advance supplier ESG engagement at a faster pace
• In all the above, you will be in close co-operation with internal stakeholders and with suppliers, providing input to training and contract management as well as helping to bring suppliers closer to the desired ESG performance.

What are we looking for

• An individual with a customer centric mindset and good adaptability on digital solutions
• You hold a Master degree with major in ESG/sustainability/CSR, HSE management, International relations, or other relevant discipline
• You have excellent communication skills and strong written as well as spoken English additional languages are a strong advantage
• At least 5+ years' experience in implementing supply chain sustainability programs in a global organisation
• Good overview of main ESG trends in the areas of employment practices, business ethics, and HSSE
• Experience in working with ESG auditors, coordinating, and conducting supplier audits on ESG topics is preferable
• Committed to and experienced in managing local and international stakeholders and influencing minds to make a difference in the living conditions of people across the globe
• Attention to quality & detail with strong analytical and project management skills
• Experience on carrying out multiple assignments within tight deadlines
• Knowledge of sourcing concepts and techniques and understanding of supplier life cycle tools is preferable
• Creative and structured thinking with good problem-solving abilities
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
