Procurement Specialist
Responsibilities for Procurement Specialist:
- Identify suppliers of goods and services
- Create strategy on cost savings /risk mitigation/support growth projects.
- Negotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, expectations, etc.
- Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goods
- Create purchase orders and tally these with supply requests and orders.
- Preparing MIS reports
- Attend internal & external stakeholders meetings including calls on various time zones.
- Work closely with the BU' teams for seamless supplies & rock bottom cost
Qualifications for Procurement Specialist:
- Master & degree in a related field preferred
- Proven experience working as a Procurement Specialist in the same area required
- Additional certification in the field of procurement desired
- Strong knowledge of the industry and market conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building
- Flexible to work long hours as demanded by projects
- Able to travel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessary
Qualification Required is:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain / Finance / Chemical Engineering or a related field with a master & degree being desirable.
- Incumbent is expected to have desired domain knowledge, IT excel advance expertise, followed by impeccable negotiation skills, communication skill with knack of rapport building.
- The flexibility to work long hours to ensure goods are successfully procured within the timeframe is required as well as the ability to travel to meet with suppliers as necessary.
