Purpose
The role will lead the newly developed Analytic, Planning, and Procurement Center of Excellence as we staff up that team for global support. Additionally, this role with lead our commodity sourcing initiatives for our Electronic and Electrical commodities, including PCBAs.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and operations of the Planning & Procurement Center of Excellence (COE) team to deliver actionable insights and collaborate with operational leaders to develop ongoing actions to improve our supply chain effectiveness.
• Collaborate with factory leaders and global operations team members focused on the transformation of our planning and procurement activities toward improved on time delivery from vendors with improved inventory turns.
• Define scope and KPIs for the COE team in collaboration with operational leaders
• Align the COE team with key performance indicators with a defined cadence of operating mechanisms to ensure ongoing focus of activities to impact the most meaningful KPIs
• Responsible for all stages product or component procurement, including sourcing, assessment, selection, and on-going management.
• Acts as escalation point for supply readiness & assurance issue resolution and escalates in a timely fashion to sponsors as necessary.
• Participation with cross-functional teams and management to identify and improve overall supply chain effectiveness by identify the problems and deploy the action plan to tackle the issue down to the components and raw materials level.
• Working with the R&D or Engineering teams for appropriate alternates by specification and determine availability of the materials in the market.
  

Education And Experience Requirements

• 5 Years in a Procurement role
• SAP experience / knowledge preferred to include materials management processes and the management of data.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in materials management, engineering, supply chain or another associated field.
• Proven global project management experience.
• Ability to understand engineering design documents and specification comparison for alternates.
• Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment serving both internal and external customers' requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining positive and productive working relationships across a broad range of people and groups
• Ability to make decisions against tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to negotiate effectively
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Ability to manage priorities and stay on top of critical responsibilities
• Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn
