Title: Solution Architect Corporate Systems
Location: Bangalore
Your Role
As the Solution Architect, you will proactively and holistically lead and develop architecture for Corporate Systems. Solutions include products, systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information), shared infrastructure services and shared application services. You will have a deep understanding of business goals, objective and business outcomes, business capabilities, value-streams, and business processes. The Solutions Architect provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to support the development of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. You will create deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions — including systems (applications, processes and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to enable and drive targeted business outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
- Develop solutions architecture and evaluate architectural alternatives for public and hybrid cloud models, including SaaS, IaaS, PaaS, and other cloud services in a large global environment that supports both business and customer needs.
- Ability to provide broad and deep technical leadership and cohesive architecture approaches for strategic efforts. Technical depth in customer facing systems from an application, infrastructure, operations, scalability, availability, performance, people, process, and tooling perspective.
- Ability to understand emerging technology trends and disruptions to enable new and evolving business operating models.
- Responsible for translating business and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint to achieve business objectives and documents all Solution Architecture design and analysis work.
- Creates architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development across products, services, projects and systems (including applications, technologies, processes and information).
- Creates reference architectures focused on detailed design principles, decision points and dependencies across multiple Corporate Systems.
- Prioritize work and deliverables to align with the business team’s long-term goals and strategy
- Works closely with Business Relationship Managers (BRM), Product Owners, Business Analysts and Technology Delivery Managers to ensure robust architectural runway to support across all Corporate Systems (Finance, HR, Legal, Worldwide Medical & Regulator Affairs, Patient Safety) for future business requirements throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Support Business Relationship Managers (BRM), Product Owners, Business Analysts and Technology Delivery Managers in EOL (end of life) product decisions to maintain refresh or retire products, applications.
- Monitor the current-state Corporate Systems application portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by functions or misalignment with business requirements.
- Partner with Enterprise Architects to ensure the project or product is aligned with the overall enterprise architecture strategy.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, or relevant discipline
- 8 + years of professional IT experience in a major, global organization including design, coding and implementation of systems
- Experience with one or more development languages such as C/C++, Java, JavaScript or Python
- Knowledge of Corporate Systems such as Workday, JDE (JD Edwards) is preferrable.
