Responsibilities
The Residential Engineer diagnoses, provide service and repairs to residential equipment including electrical, plumbing,
steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating. Additionally, they respond to inquiries and
problems in an efficient, courteous and professional manner to achieve maximum Residential satisfaction while
complying with all Four Seasons’ guidelines and policies.

Tasks
- Diagnose and perform all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated
equipment throughout the entire building
- Perform a variety of building maintenance duties including painting and wallpapering, window installation and
repair, floor tile replacement, door hanging and repairing, and exterior wall surfaces
- Perform a variety of carpentry duties as assigned including repairing walls, doors and trim; repair beds, tables,
lockers, gate locks and fences
- Replace burned out and defective fluorescent tubes and light bulbs; replace burned out ballasts, broken light
switches, duplex receptacles, plates, and other plug receptacles
- Repair bathroom plumbing; replace or repair leaking faucets and damaged vanity sinks; unclog toilets, shower and
sink drains
- Maintain heating and refrigeration units, replace filters and clean vents; repair coolers
- Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department
- Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs
- Respond to residents’ calls regarding maintenance of units and equipment in units or common areas in a timely
manner
- Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
- Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in
EmPact
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary
- Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel
- Install electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and provide
electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set-ups
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Skills And Abilities · Fluent in English, reading and writing · Secondary education or equivalent experience · Experience required by position is from 1 to 2 years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization · Requires a working technical knowledge of general building maintenance · Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a series of professional certifications · Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer equipment
