Job Description
The purpose of this position is to supervise shift operations of Value stream / Sub Value streams, manage & motivates shop-floor associates, facilitates efficient value creation, mentors entry level associates, coaches & develop associates,ensure conformance to safety, quality & shop-floor standards, maintain IR & shop floor discipline, follow deviation management & continuous improvement to achieve targeted operational results.
Responsible for
- ensuring that defined standards are followed & necessary course correction in case of deviations
- training & development of newly inculcated manpower ( NATS )
- Shift handling & daily production , MP deployment activity
- Communication of organization goals with blue collar employees
- driving internal defect cost reduction & productivity improvement projects
- driving lean manufacturing system projects ( BPS related projects )
- driving & achieving organizational KPIs related to safety , quality , cost & delivery
Technical skills
- Thorough knowledge of basic manufacturing process ( Turning, Grinding & Hydro Erosion )
- Know how about industry standards - Quality - IATF 16949 , Safety - OHSAS EHSMS
- Hand on experience in creating FMEA , Control plan , SOPs
- Know how on SPC & other QMS tools ( Six sigma , PSS , Ishikawa etc.)
- Hands on experience on SAP (Production module )
- Overview of Pull loop principles , kanban ( lean manufacturing system ). BPS systems
Qualifications
B.E / B. Tech (Mechanical/Production)
Experience - 3-6 years
