The Senior Manager IT Client Services-APAC is a critical role operating within a complex business environment with diverse technical and business needs across multiple locations. Support requirements can include Desktop Management, infrastructure installations, conference room/collaboration management and interfacing with building and internal facility teams. The role will lead will collaborate with local leaders to understand growth projections and participate in projects related to real estate and other expansion efforts which are company specific.

This position is part of the Global IT Department and will be located in our Bengaluru Manufacturing Facility. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Train the team and ensure smooth onboarding of new resources/Opco transfers from IT perspective, in coordination with HR, IAM & other applicable stake holders and ensure the team has a strong process to have smooth SCCM for computers, imaging, software package pushes, laptop refresh, Application support, password resets and general troubleshooting of IT devices.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure & Operations team within Cepheid and other Opcos for certain activities such as monthly Server Patching’s, update WLC software, IP reconfigurations, replacement of network devices, testing’s, system maintenance outage etc and assist IT management on the improvement of Service Operation practice (i.e., Incident Management, Problem Management etc.) to meet business needs/Customer Satisfaction.
• Work with IT FMO team to Provide budgetary figures for hardware & software requirements on monthly/ quarterly & annual basis as applicable and work on various projects/site expansions in coordination with multiple stake holders viz.  Project Management office, I&O, internal Procurement, Finance, Facility team etc. to ensure required IT infra structure (EUC, LAN, WAN, AV etc.) in place.
• Ability to access existing monitoring tools for all locally installed infrastructure present at the site. This can include firewalls, wireless access points, servers, switches and telephony equipment and Inventory management of equipment related to systems in use on site. This can include computer equipment, cables, monitors, mobile phones and desk phones.
• Access to local IT related invoices for continuous review and payment. This can include local SMARTnet contracts, mobility, network, printing, cooling and heating and IP phone system support  and ability to work with local suppliers including contract review, bid process management in the spirit of optimizing service agreements.
• Coordinate with regional and global IT resources (associates and contractors) for IT support across regional locations and may have occasional requirement to support the site after normal business hours as necessary
• Ensure the team (internal & external) to follow the defined procedures/processes in coordination with cross functional teams. Develop new processes as desired in coordination with relevant stake holders.

The essential requirements of the job

• Bachelor/master’s degree in computer science or the equivalent in with 12+ years of overall experience in the Information Technology profession, passionate about IT Client Services & network Infra structure.
• Candidate shall have verifiable experience of mentoring and coaching others with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to establish a vision for the Client Services team with excellent communication skills.
• Knowledge on ITSM tools and managing SLAs, KPIs, and critical success factors for IT Services and work experience in a production environment with a high degree of complexity while also being able to operate independently and provide appropriate information and direction to other colleagues and subordinates.
• Ability to take ownership and resolve if issues are related to local machines or if they are part of a larger (office, department, global) group and to escalate it to the right team as desired and strong communication skills including the ability to share thoughts and ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong focus on people development including coaching and performance management for both associates and contract support staff          

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Comprehensive understanding of computer hardware and software technologies & Understanding of MDF, IDF, LAN/WAN, Wireless Networks etc.
• Background in Life sciences or Health Care industry is help
