Role overview:

The Senior Associate - Global Commercial Finance is responsible for leading sales projections, streamlining inventory planning, and crafting monthly evaluation reports. This role involves maintaining performance dashboards, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), finalizing incentives, coordinating contracts, and conducting market research, requiring strong analytical skills and effective cross-functional collaboration.

What you would be expected to do:

1. Sales projections and inventory coordination

• Collecting monthly sales estimates across all channels by working with sales heads and managers and bringing attention to any significant changes
• Partnering with operations managers to streamline the inventory planning process
• Crafting monthly evaluation reports such as forecasted vs. actuals gap evaluation, waterfall evaluation, trend evaluation, and others
• Teaming up with the automation team to devise a system-oriented forecasting model.

2. Dashboards, reporting, and evaluation

• Preserving and refreshing performance dashboards on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis and ensuring data precision
• Observing the sales and profitability performance of partners and distributors .
• Undertaking top-line, COGS, and margin evaluation to track the trend and variances with the historical base and ensuring accuracy of the monthly MIS reports
• Balancing sales, stocks and payments records with internal finance records as well as those of select customers
• Generating ad-hoc reports as per the business requirements
• Associating with relevant teams to automate reports and deliverables

3. KPI tracking and incentive finalization

• Designing and providing KPI dashboard for different sales channels and cross-functional teams by providing actionable insights on deviations and gaps
• Assessing the target vs. actual performance of business development and sales teams on a monthly and quarterly basis and assisting in timely verification and submission of incentive work
• Ensuring verification of incentive provisions and submission

4. Contracts coordination

• Drafting, scrutinizing, preserving, and tracking partner/customer contracts and ensuring adherence.

5. Market research

• Preserving a comprehensive dashboard of all match-up offerings and intel with online and on-ground research of latest products, market news, pricing, processes, etc.

You might be a strong candidate if you:

• Graduates or Post-graduates with 1 to 5 years of work experience
• Strong investigative and systematic reasoning skills, with a proven track record of working without assistance in a deadline-oriented environment
• Proficiency in written and verbal English communication
• Ability to effectively participate and engage with cross-functional teams across Africa and Asia
• Skilled in advanced MS excel and Google sheets
• Experience with Google sheet automation, Google scripts, or other platforms would be a beneficial addition
