Role Summary:
Pazago is seeking an Investment Associate / Senior Associate who will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and facilitating investment opportunities in import/export companies that align with our strategic goals. This role demands a high level of expertise in market research, financial analysis, deal sourcing, and negotiation skills to ensure the successful execution and closure of investments.
Core Responsibilities:
Deal Sourcing: Proactively identify potential investment opportunities in the import/export industry through market research, networking, and leveraging industry contacts.
Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments, including financial performance, market analysis, competitive positioning, and risk assessment.
Financial Modeling and Analysis: Develop detailed financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including valuation analyses, return on investment forecasts, and scenario planning.
Investment Strategy: Work closely with the management team to develop and refine the investment strategy for the import/export sector, identifying key trends and opportunities.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders, including potential investee companies, financial advisors, and legal consultants, to gather insights and facilitate deal execution.
Negotiation and Deal Closure: Lead negotiations on investment terms and conditions, working closely with legal teams to ensure smooth deal closure.
Portfolio Management: Monitor the performance of portfolio companies, providing strategic guidance and support to achieve financial and operational goals.
Market Intelligence: Keep abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform investment decisions and strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or financial analysis, with a focus on the import/export sector.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial modeling, due diligence, and investment valuation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Deep understanding of the import/export industry, including key drivers, trends, and regulatory environment.
- Proven track record of sourcing, executing, and managing investments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed for deal sourcing and execution.
