About the role
This role is part of Accenture Research’s global innovation team with a focus on survey research. Our survey experts work closely with research leads, data scientists and economists to design the most innovative research approaches to tackle business questions and create unique and differentiated insights.
We seek an experienced survey researcher with a strong interest for business and technology research.
We are looking for someone with a solid understanding of quantitative and qualitative survey research and methodologies and a passion for innovating in survey research.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Method design: working with stakeholders and research leads to turn ideas and hypotheses into robust primary research projects
- Project management:
o managing full global surveys or discrete elements of complex projects (incl. sampling, questionnaire design), including liaising with vendors and supervising more junior members of the team
o owning quality during the full survey process (from design to final deliverable)
- Analytics: utilizing advanced analytical techniques to develop surprising new insights, and creatively visualize findings for client use
- Storytelling & Presentation:
o interpreting data and shaping compelling, business-focused stories for a variety of internal and external audiences
o contributing to high-quality presentation materials for current and potential clients, conferences, and other audiences
- Innovation:
o collaborating closely with other parts of Accenture Research Innovation team, including Data Science, Economic Modelling and Data Visualization, to drive innovation in research.
o supporting the ongoing development of Accenture Research’s profile, visibility, and brand internally and externally.
Experience and skills:
- Expertise in primary research methodologies both for B2C and B2B research
- Expertise in quantitative survey data analysis techniques, incl. advanced statistical analysis (such as regression, factor analysis, cluster analysis), statistical principles (such as sampling and weighting).
- Knowledge of SPSS, Qualtrics any other survey tool. Python or R for statistical research.
- Experience and facility with data-driven research techniques, data visualization and the application of advanced analytical approaches (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing)
- Strong storytelling and communication skills and facility in executive presentation
- Ability to create a project plan and execute against it
- Understanding of global business and economic issues
- Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a global, multi-cultural team
- Clear enthusiasm for research and willingness to learn and grow
Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business, economics, statistics, engineering or science), plus a full-time Masters/post-graduate degree (preferably in statistics, psychology, sociology, marketing such as business (MBA) or equivalent).
Work Experience: 9+ years survey research experience, preferably in a consulting environment, market research firm, think tank or other third party research organization.
