Responsibilities: -
- Review patient records and assigning ICD-10-CM and CPT codes on Office and hospital visit accounts.
- Experienced in E/M IP/OP, knowledge in Specialities like GI and OBGyn is proffered with minimum 5 years of experience or QA on paper.
- Experienced in Checking medical necessity and NCCI edits for assigning diagnosis and procedure codes.
- Review patient records and identify documentation issues and communicate it to the Supervisor.
- Maintaining the Higher accuracy levels in coding as well as in auditing.
- Protect the security of medical records to ensure that confidentiality is maintained.
Basic Qualification: Should be from Life science background. Should have more knowledge on Human Anatomy. Basic awareness of Computer usage. Should have Good written & interpersonal skills. Should have strong analytical & technical problem-solving skills, should be certified from AAPC or AHIMA.
- Should be well versed in E/M Guidelines, Preferred knowledge in Anesthesia, Surgery and Quality Aspects.
