Responsibilities:
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Chief Scientific Officer to translate their specifications in production software for genomic data processing and report generation that integrates with the IMS EHR systems.
- Technical Expertise: Employ deep knowledge in full-stack development, including proficiency in JavaScript, Shell scripting, Python, AWS, and IMS EHR integration.
- Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of engineers in implementin bioinformatics pipelines in production and interfacing our genetic testing service with the IMS EHR system.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to align technology development with business goals and customer needs.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Head of Engineering, Technical Lead, or senior engineering role with a track record of managing successful engineering teams.
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in full-stack development with strong hands-on experience in JavaScript, Shell scripting, Python, and AWS.
- Experience with IMS EHR systems and their integration with external services.
- Familiarity with bioinformatics, genetic testing, or similar fields is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, team management, and communication skills with the ability to inspire and guide teams towards achieving technological and business goals.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to tackle complex challenges and drive technical innovation.
