Responsibilities:
- Product Management:
- Market Research: Must have strong nose to sniff out the direction the market is moving into, so as to make product future protected from the dynamics of the market demand.
- Product Definition: As the owner of a product, formulate strategy and roadmap for the product from requirements to release (concept to cradle), and get it implemented with the peer-groups such as Architects and Project Managers and others, so that there is complete agreement from business owners, technology teams and end users; and the product comes out with a world-class user experience.
- Vision communication: Align the cross functional teams such as developers, business analysts, test engineers, recruiters, marketing and sales with the goal of the product
- Features’ Prioritization: Using Agile methodology, spell out all the features and prioritize the implementation and release. Review and approve customization requests from various project managers from business point of view
- Pre-Sales: Take ownership of pre-sales activities, rather than being mere participant
- Go-to- Market: Chalk out Go-To- Market strategies, including, positioning and pricing of the product, appointing distribution and sales channels to get competitive advantage. Drive product launches across geographies with the help of marketing team.
- Customer Management:
- Customer Partnership: Understand customer’s requirements from their business perspective, and elicit even unstated needs with zero tolerance for ambiguity; draft suitable Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work under the guidance of the reporting person to negotiate effort, schedule and cost. Enforce change management process so that client expectations in terms of cost and schedule are managed in time
- Customer Leadership: Display out of box thinking in terms of solutions to business challenges; driving the customers’ plans such that the customers’ ROI improves substantially
- Technology Management:
- Technology Roadmap: With the help of Architect(s) and Project Managers, evaluate various up-coming technologies from solution’s perspective, and adopt best possible technical solutions. You will not be required to code, however, you must be able to understand technology stack in order to get aligned to the technology teams and take the right decisions.
- Process Adherence: Enforce use of project management tool as an end to end tool to manage issues - capturing each and every specification, and allocate issues to team members in consultation with the Project Manager, and track for appropriate closure; implement Requirement Traceability so as to manage the trunk and branches well from present and future point of view
- Quality Checks: Conducting review of project artifacts from functional point of view, and ensure their feasibility from technology perspective with the help of Architect(s); providing approvals on various requirements and requirement changes. Ensure proper deployment and release of the product
- Team Building:
- Nurture team members and be enabler in their grooming from domain / technology perspective

Required Skills:
- You must be a thought leader, having good work experience in financial domain, such that you could connect the dots end to end in a seamless way and with a clear visibility of end product in mind.
- You must work very well with the peer-group of Project Managers and Architects
- Must be able to provide inputs on the team members for their effective appraisal, and do the appraisal of people reporting to you
- You must display ability to foresee risks in the projects and escalate to the management in case you need help.
- Exceptionally good communication skills that enable you to reach inside the mind and heart of a customer.
- Experience of ISO or CMMi process frameworks
