Designation: Manager Legal
Location: Mumbai
Roles & Responsibilities:
Ø Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal documentation for commercial transactions and projects.
Ø Advising stakeholders on legal matters including corporate and commercial laws, legal metrology, contracts, product liability, data privacy, labour and employment and customer and third party claims.
Ø Handling legal matters including drafting and validating legal notice and replies, power of attorneys, affidavits.
Ø Protecting Company's reputation and business interests whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Ø Assisting in industry association related work.
Ø Maintaining digital data base.
Ø Updating stakeholders on legal developments, new laws, judicial precedents, regulatory requirements and compliance issues
Assisting in knowledge management.
Educational Qualification: Graduate from an accredited law school
Experience:
5 - 8 years' experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal team of a large company / MNC
FMCG sector experience preferred
Skills:
Ø In-depth knowledge of laws relating to FMCG sector, commercial, consumer and civil laws.
Ø Expertise in drafting and aptitude for practical negotiation.
Ø Ability to solve problems through understanding of business context
Ø Good analytical skills, commercial acumen and time sensitive
Ø Team player having a strong desire to learn.
Ø Ability to effectively communicate and interface with internal stakeholders across levels.
Ø Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills as this position requires interaction with governmental authorities and industry associations.
