What the day will look like
This role will provide the candidate an opportunity to work across multiple Agile Product Delivery teams, overseeing engineering standards and practices to drive our maturity and ensure successful delivery of features for our new Commercial Risk Solutions Ecosystem. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Attending Agile Scrum-of-Scrums and Engineering forums to support developers, testers and other engineering roles as they deliver on features within their respective product team sprints.
- Onboarding/offboarding of vendor delivery teams, ensuring they are equipped with the tools, access and training to perform successfully within their product team.
- Building engineering know-how within an Aon context – adopting and extending SDLC and DevSecOps standards across Aon.
- Engaging product owners, scrum masters and project managers to ensure successful and smooth delivery day-to-day.
- Serve as a point of technical escalation for dev teams and address technical issues as they arise.
- Taking personal responsibility for engineering quality across Agile product teams, demonstrated by solid Agile delivery metrics.
- Overseeing end-to-end environment, release and test management across the programme.

Skills and experience that will lead to success.
- 10+ years’ experience in Full Stack application development, with at least 3 years management-level.
- Strong Agile knowledge – SCRUM, Kanban, XP, Pair Programming and other practices. Certification highly desirable.
- Strong experience in Agile CI/CD tooling – Git, AzDo/Jira, Checkmarx etc.
- Azure cloud experience highly desirable – IaaS and PaaS including containerization and serverless
- Direct development experience in Javascript web frameworks (React, Angular, similar), C# .NET, Database Design & scripting
- Advocate for and experience in automated testing.
- Experience in vendor management.
- College degree in IT-related discipline.
