Roles and Responsibilities: The Head of Human Resources (HR) sits within the leadership team. This position involves providing strategic leadership, guidance, and support to ensure the effective management of human capital within the school community. The Head of HR is responsible for implementing policies, procedures, and practices while fostering a positive work environment.
He/She will lead and direct the routine functions of the HR department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
- HR Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the school's objectives, mission and vision. Forecast workforce requirements, and develop strategies for talent acquisition and retention.
- Recruitment and Selection: Oversee end-to-end recruitment process including onboarding new employees and facilitating their integration into the school community.
- Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a resource for employees, addressing their concerns, and providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employment-related matters. Mediate and resolve conflicts.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee the development and administration of the school's compensation and benefits programs. Collaborate with finance and budgeting departments to manage the HR budget effectively.
- HR Policies and Compliance: Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook. Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and school policies.
- Professional Development: Develop and implement professional development programs for staff members, in compliance with IB standards.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Human Resources.
- Extensive experience in HR management, in an IB school setting.
- Familiarity with the International Baccalaureate (IB) requirements.
- High level of integrity and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
