Job Description
Finance - Head is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of a company, ensuring statutory compliance with financial regulations and laws, and making strategic financial decisions that support the company's goals and objectives.
The job description for a Head - Finance may include:
- Overseeing financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling.
- Developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
- MIS Reporting, finalization of accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis and statutory audit.
- Analyzing financial data and trends, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost savings. Managing cash flow, ensuring adequate funds are available for ongoing operations and investment opportunities.
- Expertise in handling Indian financial Systems.
- Execute the financial strategy of the company.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure their financial goals align with company objectives.
- Managing relationships with external stakeholders, such as banks, auditors, and investors and government departments and companies.
- Overseeing the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Statutory Compliance and reporting on TDS, GST, EPF etc.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have MBA(Finance)/CA/ICWA Inter or Fully Qualified with at least 10 years of relevant experience out of which 2 years of proven experience of leading the finance function for a Small or Mid size organization.They should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills are also essential for this role. Finally, the candidate should be proficient in financial software and systems, such as Tally/Zoho, Excel, and financial modeling software.
