Your Role:
The Data Architect is an evangelist and educator to help the organization become more sophisticated in its use of data and help create a data-informed culture. The Data Architect shapes and drives our cloud-first data strategy and provides technical leadership to our emerging data & analytics team.
The Data Architect plays a pivotal role in defining the Data Architecture roadmap, as well as design, create, deploy, and manage Envalior’s Data Architecture across multiple technology platforms from SAP to the AWS ecosystem and determine how the data will be stored, consumed, integrated and managed across Envalior’s functions, geographical entities, and multiple technology solutions. He/She takes accountability and can serve as a point of escalation for governance, data quality and protection issues and can collaborate closely with Business and Functional area leadership to improve the quality and value of core data assets, respond to regulatory protection requirements as well as support the strategic requirements of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Create an end-to-end vision for how data will flow through Envalior from R&D and Regulatory, to Quality, to Sourcing & Manufacturing, to Sales and Distribution, to Group Functions (Finance, HR, Purchasing) and other Corporate departments (Legal, Regulatory).
- Provide Architectural leadership and vision for Envalior’s Data Platform and Data Lake. Develop and maintain architectural roadmap for data products and data services plus ensuring alignment with the business and enterprise architecture strategies and standards. Oversee and sign off key architecture artifacts.
- Develop & maintain inventory of enterprise information maps, including authoritative systems, owners. Coordinate external data sources to eliminate redundancy and streamline the expense related to those services.
- Establish and govern an enterprise data governance process including strategic priorities for development of information-based capabilities.
- Roll out an enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data through modifications to organization behaviour policies and standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and Data Architecture.
- Collaborate with the both in- and external key stakeholders, other product development groups and software vendors to identify and define solutions for complex business and technical requirements.
