The candidate shall be well-versed with the commercial, regulatory and alternative energy aspects in energy segment and should have understanding of the following (demonstrated by past work experience):
Sector related:
- Policy, Regulatory Scenario at Central and State level
- Commercial Due diligence/Financial Modelling/ Financial Appraisals/ Feasibility Analysis of Power
- Demonstrated experience in Power Distribution Sector preferably for commercial loss reductions, smart metering, IT enabled services in private or Govt. utilities.
- Techno-Commercial aspects of Power and Coal projects and inter-linkages between Power and resources segment
- Deep appreciation of benchmarks and norms for tariff, costs, contracts, fuel pricing, etc.
- Understanding of Bid Process Management for selection of Developer and Project Management consultancy (preferably)
- Preferably understanding of Policy, Regulatory environment of Energy sector including recent alternative energy space
- Overall client management and assuring quality of execution and deliverables.
- Business Development
- Proactively engaging with prospective clients for tracking business opportunities
- Preparation of Tenders, proposals and Negotiation with Clients
- Participation in outreach events (conferences, articles in magazines etc)
- Focus of retaining client for future through building relationship and assuring quality & timely delivery of assignments
Roles and Responsibilities:
- The recruit will be responsible for the following in the energy segment with focus on power sector
- Execution of mandates along with support team
- Business Development in identified areas.
