About the Role:
- The Payroll Compliance Manager is a crucial role responsible for ensuring the organization adheres to all statutory payroll regulations for India, MEA, and APAC regions.
- This role plays a central role in safeguarding the company's compliance with labor laws and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Expertise:
- Monitor and stay updated on changes in payroll-related laws and regulations across India, MEA, and APAC.
- Proactively assess the impact of regulatory changes on the organization's payroll processes.
- Ensure the company's payroll practices are compliant with all relevant legal and tax requirements.
Compliance Champion:
- Develop and manage comprehensive compliance trackers for payroll processes.
- Analyze metrics data to identify potential compliance risks.
- Implement strategies to mitigate identified compliance risks and ensure ongoing adherence.
- Oversee the overall Payroll Compliance process and initiate improvements whenever necessary.
- Develop and (ideally) implement effective Payroll Compliance policies and procedures (advantageous).
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with payroll teams across regions, providing guidance and support on compliance matters.
- Build strong partnerships with external consultants to gain specialized expertise when required.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between payroll, HR, and accounting departments.
- Manage internal and external payroll audits, ensuring smooth and successful completion.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize compliance tools to efficiently track all statutory payroll requirements across regions.
- Work with compliance tools to prepare risk metrics and reports for management.
- Analyze data to identify trends and potential areas for improvement in Payroll Compliance.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in HR Compliance and Payroll Management.
- Strong understanding of global Payroll Compliance practices (preferred).
- Proven ability to monitor and interpret complex legal and regulatory changes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with HCM and Payroll system integration (advantageous).
