Markets Operations is responsible for driving every part of the trade lifecycle post execution. Onshore Team manage settlement activity, risk and control, while ensuring the delivery of regulatory compliance and seamless operational client service for India Markets business.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Markets Operations team.
Principal Responsibilities
To ensure all documentation in relation to the foreign exchange forwards and derivatives trades is in place as per the regulatory and internal guidelines so that the bank is not exposed to any undue risk/loss/claim. Ensuring adherence to regulatory and group compliance related to treasury products. To manage operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting.
Key activities and decision making areas:-
- Correct matching of underlying documents and trade confirmations and timely follow up of allpending documents
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal control requirements
- Provide customers (internal and external) with the highest level of service through understanding customer needs and establishing good relationships
- Responding to queries/requirements raised by treasury / clients based on agreed timelines
- Support new Treasury business initiatives
- Maintain a high level of control over correspondence both internal and external
- Ensure atmosphere of open communication is maintained amongst the team and with managers
- Provide suggestions and assist in streamlining processes and work flows
- Ensuring timely escalation of any exceptions
