The Role Responsibilities
Job Role
The individual will be responsible for maintaining and managing website and related platforms to meet user needs.
- Key focus is to ensure the functionality, security, and efficiency of web infrastructure while optimizing loading speeds, fixing issues, and updating website content.
You will contribute to the development and upkeep of our web properties. As the Web Developer, your responsibilities will include overseeing the Web UI / UX.
Business
- Build, maintain, and troubleshoot websites, tests their compatibility across different platforms, and monitors online traffic and performance.
- Configure and manage web servers, implement security measures, and review search engine optimization (SEO) to enhance website visibility.
- Create new assets for the website and related platforms.
- Test websites across browsers, operating systems and devices.
- Maintain, configure and troubleshoot servers.
- Ensure site security by setting up firewalls and login pages.
- Optimize loading speeds and capacity.
- Debug pages and fix broken links or images.
- Update website content and review SEO.
Processes
- Will be responsible to implement projects in line with the Bank’s project management framework.
Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with the Bank’s IT security, Client authentication and privacy controls.
Governance
- Will be responsible to ensure compliance with the Group Digital GPS for internet and mobile banking and all new capabilities implemented.

- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
- Lead the team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment].
- Exercise authorities delegated by the Board of Directors and act in accordance with Articles of Association.

Our Ideal Candidate
- Graduate / Post graduate with experience in Digital.
- 3 - 4 years work experience.
- Marketing / Website management.
- Strong technical background.
