Associate Communication Lead

About the department
The Strategic Diabetes Commercial Communications role is part of the Commercial & Corporate Affairs – Global Business Services (GBS) unit at Novo Nordisk. The Commercial GBS – Global Business Services (GBS) unit is responsible for driving deliverables for multiple Corporate Vice President (CVP) areas within Commercial Strategy & Corporate Affairs, including Insulin, GLP-1 and Obesity Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Planning and Commercial Operations. In the Diabetes Therapeutic Area, we are a passionate team helping millions of people with diabetes achieve better health outcomes through innovative medicines and solutions. We drive and execute projects across a strong portfolio comprising of both launch and life-cycle management brand.

The position
As a Strategic Diabetes Commercial Communications professional at Novo Nordisk, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an integrated commercial communications strategy, manage and measure the implementation of strategy and develop a commercial communications engagement plan to engage patients and HCPs.
  • Develop commercial communications for in-market insulin and NN digital health solutions and deploy creative content, concepts, and plans for effective unbranded campaigns.
  • Prepare and execute impactful campaigns and congresses communication planning, ensuring effective handling of commercial communication change, crises, and issue management.
  • Drive internal communications on our commercial business strategy and campaigns, Provide consultancy service and advice in connection with projects and activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant external professional standards and codes.
  • Prepare press releases, Q&As, and other communication materials, Lead on issues and crisis communications with internal stakeholders and effectively manage agency relationships and provide direction.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in communication, PR, or mass communication.
  • 8+ years of experience in the field of communication, corporate or agency side.
  • Experience in the pharma or healthcare communication, both internal and external.
  • Good understanding of effectively working with communication networks to achieve business outcomes.
  • Strong strategic communications planning and public relations management skills.
  • Ability to influence and prepare senior management on issues and crisis management.
  • Experience in effectively managing agency relationships.
  • Experience in developing and driving social media campaigns.
