Assistant Manager - Production

You will be working as Assistant Manager – Production and will be part of Motion Business Area for Large Motors and Generators Division based in Vadodara, India. In this role you will be reporting to Operation Manager - MOLM, India and will be responsible in organizing and allocating resources to effectively and efficiently meet line production targets and responding to resource issues as necessary.

Your responsibilities

• Leading capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned area
• Ensuring that production scheduling and production plan meets the volume requirements agreed in the demand plan and defined inventory service levels
• Identifying and recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary
• Ensuring execution of volume, conforming product and on-time delivery targets for the assigned production lines
• Identifying deficiencies in production area, proposing improvement activities and overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance
• Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams
• Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed
• Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree with 10 to 15 years of experience in manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in leadership and management. Good knowledge of scheduling and production control processes
• Knowledge of supply chain insourcing and outsourcing decisions and process. Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is an added advantage
• Advanced understanding of excel and other database tools
• Strong ERP experience (SAP) Torque and AMSAP. Experience in organizational change and change management
