Led by Visa’s first Chief Data Officer, the Global Data Office coordinates high-impact, complex, company-wide projects related to data business strategy, critical investments, policy development, and marketplace execution. Working closely with Visa’s Chief Privacy Officer, the Technology organization, the wider data community, and the full set of Visa’s global lines of business, the Global Data Office is evolving Visa’s data-related work with momentum and enthusiasm. We are looking for an exceptional technical individual contributor to provide leadership in the data visualization and BI space. This position will be part of Global Data Solutions and will report into the Head of Insights Studio to lead development of BI and data visualization in a shared services context. In this role, you will be responsible to help develop GDS Insights Studio as a global BI and data visualization solutions team who can partner with regional and global teams in Visa to drive Visa and client outcomes in terms of decision making with data. Initially, a large part of this team will support out Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) business. This business is responsible for supporting Visa’s clients with data and insights- and data visualization is a core part of projects.
You will partner closely with Global stakeholders across consulting, data science, technology, and other teams. You will get chance to leverage your strategic planning, business analysis and technical knowledge of data engineering, tools and data architecture solutions. Since this is a new team, the candidate will have a significant contribution in laying out the foundation of shared services based central team and building foundational capabilities (like micro frontends or data processes.) You will also be a hands-on expert who can effectively partner with cross-functional teams to build effective solutions.

· Define, architect, and execute global BI/Data Visualization team. Build the structure, assets, design systems and tooling needed for IS.
· Define the vision and execution paths for foundational initiatives that need to be undertaken to support a team of this scale. For instance, this team will work with Global Design on necessary tooling and infra to support their delivery.
· Collaborate and influence senior leadership so that you work directly impacts company strategy and direction. Liaise with various stakeholders including Technology, Data Science leads, VCA Strategy and Operations and DE global delivery teams to develop and execute a roadmap of projects and teams.
· Communicate effectively to inform and influence executive audiences, including executive level internal and external partners.
· Evangelize technical approaches in data visualization and act as a subject matter expert in guiding strategy as it relates to tooling an execution practices.
· Provide technical guidance on managing and improving technical infrastructure including, for example, a strategy to utilize new visualization development processes.
· Exposure to Financial Services/ Payments data analytics and BI development. Desirable exposure to Marketing, Authorization, Fraud & Chargeback Analytics.
· Build and manage a team of talented data visualization specialists with the ability to not only keep up with, but also pioneer, in this space.
· Experience in managing global shared teams with cross-functional executive stakeholders in an agile manner.
· Experience working with technology and business teams on Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Architecture initiatives.
· Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate technical insights and recommendations with business customers and leadership team.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
