Position Title: Accounting Associate
Job Location: Bangalore, India
Job Purpose:
- To manage the Invoice to Pay process by partnering with the service provider for monitoring and delivering of services through Continues Improvement and improving efficiency, minimize the risk exposure of the enterprise by ensuring compliance with the policies & procedures for Invoice to Pay process.
- Collaborate with the different departments and actively engage in the implementation of systems and tools related to Invoice to Pay function.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that Controls and Compliance regulations are observed
- Address and discuss issues and proposed solutions with Accounts Payable Superiors
- Document quality assurance activities and create audit reports
- Make recommendations for improvement
- Create training materials and operating manuals
- The accountant identifies relevant data and data sources, gathers, and analyzes the information, and provides feedback
- Analytical skills on grief invoices
- Identification of unusual items and discrepancies, investigations, and escalation to the Accounts Payable Supervisor
- To perform adhoc/special projects as needed
- Perform audits to validate the accuracy on the vendor invoice accounting and vendor payments
Requirements and skills
- Requires a college degree (B.com) mandatory.
- Proven work experience as a Quality Assurance Specialist or similar role
- Working knowledge of tools, methods and concepts of quality assurance
- Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory standards
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Quality Assurance Specialist
- Position requires international equivalent of education and/or certification are typically required.
- Must demonstrate strong leadership, initiative, inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Requires minimum of two years of experience in accounting
- SAP usage experience and knowledge preferred, knowledge on Xflow , NextGen, and Other feeder system is added advantage
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, Power BI, Tableau, proficiency in Excel
- Good Interpersonal Skills
