Responsibilities:
1. Financial Analysis:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to assess business performance, identify trends, and provide insights to key stakeholders.
- Prepare and present financial reports, including variance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and monitoring of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with department heads to gather relevant financial information and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
2. Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring data integrity.
- Utilize financial modelling techniques to support decision-making processes.
3. Cost Control:
- Monitor and analyze cost structures to identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Work closely with operational teams to implement cost-saving initiatives.
4. Financial Planning:
- Support strategic financial planning initiatives by providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.
5. Risk Assessment:
- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing mitigation strategies to safeguard the organisation's financial stability.
6. Ad Hoc Analysis:
- Undertake special projects and ad hoc analyses as required by senior management.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making on various business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in Business Finance or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modelling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CA, or equivalent.
- Experience working in a start-up is a plus.
