Job Description:
Our company is seeking a highly experienced Legal Manager to lead our Legal department in the service industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Real Estate industry and be able to provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the Legal team to provide legal support to the organization.
2. Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to the organization on all legal matters including but not limited to contracts, agreements, and regulatory compliance.
3. Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure legal compliance in all business operations.
4. Develop and maintain standard legal documents, agreements, and policies to be used across the organization.
5. Stay current with changes in laws and regulations that affect the organization and ensure that the organization is compliant.
6. Oversee secretarial work, including the preparation and filing of legal documents, maintaining case files, and managing the calendar for the legal team.
7. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including those related to data privacy, intellectual property, and employment.
8. Provide legal advice and guidance to the organization on a broad range of legal matters, including corporate, commercial, employment, regulatory, and compliance issues
9. Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including service agreements, licensing agreements, and vendor agreements
10. Conduct legal research and analysis, and provide legal opinions and recommendations to the organization
11. Manage outside counsel on legal matters as needed
12. Provide legal support and training to other departments within the organization
Requirements:
1. A law degree from an accredited institution and an experience between 7 - 12 years in the legal domain.
2. Strong experience in the service industry is preferred.
3. Experience managing a legal team and providing legal counsel to executive leadership.
4. Ability to handle multiple legal matters simultaneously and provide strategic advice to the organization.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Should have team handling experience.
8. Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
