Visual Designer (India)

The role of the Visual designer at Hasura is a critical, cross-functional role that requires equal parts design proficiency and the ability to quickly build business context. We’re looking for someone who has experience working in the marketing design functions of scaling startups.

What the role will involve:You’ll be working with the following business functions and job roles in the organization -

• Revenue Marketing
  Key partners - Revenue marketer, Content marketer, Web-services, Demand Generation
  • We experiment and iterate a lot, and our revenue marketing efforts are the fastest way to test out new ideas.
• Sales & Enablement
  Key partners - Sales enablement, Product marketing, Content
  • Our sales force needs support with compelling product and sales materials, that they can leverage at different points in the sales cycle.
  • Work with our product marketing and sales enablement teams to figure out what’s best for our customers and potentials.
• Product Marketing
  Key partners - Product marketing, Web-services, Content, Motion Design
  • As a deeply technical product, we need to constantly find better ways to communicate complex ideas. From schema visualizations, entity-relationship diagrams to nifty product videos, you’ll be in a position to impact all of these things.
• Documentation
  Key partners - Developer education, Web-services
  • Meaningful developer education will yield stickier products so we do what we can to support our documentation and learning initiatives. Whether it’s a simple diagram, or a platform overhaul, you’ll be their partner in providing world class grokking resources.
• Community & Dev Advocacy
  Key partners - Developer advocates, Developer education, Event Coordinator, Community Manager
  • This year, Hasura plans on doubling down on our powerful and passionate community world over. Many localized meetups and many community events. Work with the community and developer advocates to build compelling resources to support the organic growth of our users.

Requirements:

• An excellent visual design portfolio with experience spanning web UX/UI, digital marketing design and offline brand artifacts
• Excellent communication and planning skills to work with a diverse and globally distributed team
• Systems approach to brand and visual design, with experience building/maintaining web component systems
• Experience building strong cross-functional relationships, especially with Sales, Marketing, Content and Evangelist teams
• Experience working with product marketing to craft compelling product collaterals (white papers, decks, data sheets etc)
• Comfortable with context switching and rapidly iterating based on feedback
• Experience with web analytics tools, to inform design decisions where necessary

Nice to have:

• Experience working with web-developers, and a healthy understanding of HTML, CSS and JS
• Experience working on motion graphics using tools like After Effects
• Experience with Canvas and WebGL to implement nuanced web interactions

Location:India (Remote/Bangalore): we have an office in Bangalore, and if you're based in Bangalore, you can choose to work out of our office.
