Reports to:Technology Leader – Infrastructure and
Operations
Role: To work across the school and work closely with the Aesthetic and Performing Arts Department.
Key Accountabilities:
- Maintenance of the school’s physical resources including musical, electronic and computing equipment.
- Ensuring that events and productions are supported through the management of effective sound and
light system.
- Regular maintenance of Audio-Visual equipment across the school.
- Setting up and installing microphones, lights, projectors and speakers
- Video editing as and when required
- Taking photographs of school events.
- Set up Audio-Visual equipment for school/teachers to support teaching and learning.
- Support in planning and managing events and productions and video editing.
- Technical support for lighting, visuals and sound.
- Ability to operate sound and lighting decks.
- To work with in teams and respond to the demands of a dynamic and busy school.
- Troubleshooting equipment and ensuring events run smoothly
- Inspecting mountings and electrical equipment to ensure they conform to health and safety regulations.
- An ability to converse in English.
- To work within agreed policies and practices, including behavior management, child protection, equal
opportunities and Health & Safety.
- Contribute towards the development of the department.
- Participate and contribute to school events.

Qualification/Experience:
- Diploma in Electronics or an equivalent course.
- In-depth knowledge of sound, video, and lighting equipment.
- Knowledge of music sequencing software (desirable rather than essential)
Competencies:
Will follow administrative staff competencies.
