Job Introduction
Risk is a second line function supporting retail lending business. The role holders primary responsibilities will include providing credit underwriting decisions on complex / deviation proposals for loans & cards and ensure that the retail lending business is compliant with all regulatory, audit and internal policy requirements.
Principal Responsibilities
- Review & approve lending proposals with deviations as part of credit committee / individual basis for retail loans and credit cards.
- Ensure retail business is compliant with all regulatory directions pertaining to the lending domain.
- Manage audits (internal / external) for the retail risk function end to end including preparation, liasioning, implementation and assurance.
- Monitor accurate implementation of credit policy though approval reviews, review performance of underwriters, make periodic recommendations for review of underwriting limits, implementation of the same.
- Supporting WPB Retail Risk steward on the management & end to end oversight of non-financial risks across WPB, developing positive relationship & closely working with WPB CCO Office, Business, RC, Legal, and Operational & Resilience Risk on NFR (non-financial risk) matters.
- Monitoring adherence to Group policies and governance standards, identifying & mitigating issues via Risk and control assessments.
- Provide regular feedback to the stake holders (Policy / underwriting / Operations) so as to improve / streamline processes basis reviews undertaken.
