Role Overview: The VP Finance and Financial Products will play a pivotal role in appraising social sector and impact projects, focusing on technical and vocational skill-building training initiatives. This position requires expertise in project evaluation, due diligence, credit worthiness assessment, project finance, and financial product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the appraisal and evaluation of social sector projects, including technical and vocational skill-building training programs.
- Conduct thorough due diligence to assess project feasibility, financial viability, and impact potential.
- Develop innovative Financial Products tailored to the needs of social sector organizations and impact projects.
- Collaborate with internal teams to structure project finance deals and secure funding from diverse sources.
- Evaluate creditworthiness and financial sustainability of potential partners and clients.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics of ongoing projects, providing strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in social impact finance.
- Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, financial institutions, and government agencies.
Qualifications:
- CA, Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; CA relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience (15+ years) in finance, project evaluation, and financial product development, preferably in the social sector or impact investing space.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex financial data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a track record of driving financial innovation and impact.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and ethical considerations related to social impact finance.
