Job Description


The FAE Team is an agile product team responsible for the development, production, and transformation of financial data and reporting across CCB.  Our vision is to improve the lives of our people and increase value to the firm by leveraging the power of our data and the best tools to analyze data, generate insights, save time, improve processes & control, and lead the organization in developing skills of the future.  Our overall product objectives include: 1) constructing a data environment that enables cross-business, customer-centric decision making and reporting needs across CCB in a consistent framework; 2) creating an ecosystem of dashboards, sourced from authoritative data sources, to replace all manual management reporting and to allow our employees to focus on generating actionable insights; 3) eliminating user tools, saving time, and increasing ability to generate insights through data, dashboards, and developing new capabilities.


As an Essbase Administrator – Lead, you will play a key role in driving transformation in our data environment to meet the evolving needs of the business and in supporting core finance and business processes.  You will be primarily responsible for planning, directing, managing, and implementing end to end solutions for data infrastructure, data products, and analytics output. You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of technologies to develop solutions, including big data and relational data environments, Tableau, Essbase, Python, and AWS.  You will interact with key stakeholders across Finance, Technology, and our consumer lines of business to support analytics, reporting, and development of new solutions to meet the needs of senior stakeholders and the Finance organization. 


 This role requires a wide range of strengths and capabilities, including:


Key Areas of Responsibility:


Write and maintain Essbase Report/MDX Scripts and Calculation Scripts


Hyperion Essbase Administration 


Hyperion Essbase Cube Build and Maintenance


Hyperion Essbase rule Files(Data Load and Dimension Build)


Hyperion Backup and Recovery


Desirable - Create and maintain SSIS components


Create and maintain Shell Scripts and related components


Maintain Cube Meta-Data


Qualifications:


This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including: 


  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree
  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines 
  • Understanding of financial control and budget management 
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture 
  • Must have experience handling team and senior stakeholders
  • 10+ years’ experience in Installation, Development and administration of - Oracle Hyperion Planning and Essbase applications Version 11 and higher.
  • Demonstrated experience with Essbase and reports development. Experience in creating complex Hyperion business rules and calculation scripts.
  • Hands on experience with Unix shell scripting and Linux. 
  • Strong Database SQL skills – Oracle and SQL Server
  • Desirable -  SSIS experience
  • Requires close partnership with senior level business, finance, and IT staff
