Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Linux developers, including both kernel and user space experts working on ASIL-D compliant IVI System.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Linux kernel, with a focus on ASIL-D compliance for IVI applications. Work with safety-critical experts to ensure that the kernel adheres to ASIL-D safety standards and guidelines for IVI systems.
- Manage the user space components with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.
- Take ownership of assigned responsibilities, flexible with work timings, attend and contribute to technical discussions.
- Design, Develop/Upgrade software architecture in adherence with functional safety standard.
- Guide the team to implement, test and integrate requirements. Implement and oversee safety-critical testing to validate compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system architects, safety experts and QA, to ensure ASIL-D compliance and address safety-related issues specific to IVI systems.
- Review code, design, and other deliverables to ensure quality.
- Document design, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures specific to ASIL-D-compliant platform.
- Promote and enforce best practices for safety-critical software development and integration.
- Capture key work parameters (Productivity & Schedule) and prepare report after phase completion
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
- Proven experience in Linux kernel development and user space software with a focus on ASIL-D compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of ASIL-D safety standards, Linux kernel architecture, and Linux system administration, with an understanding of the specific requirements of IVI applications.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and Shell scripting with a strong understanding of MISRA C coding standard.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with internal & external stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
- Good at reading and understanding hardware reference manuals and board schematics.
- Experience with Linux working environment for ARM processor using GNU toolchain.
- Experience with debugging tools like JTAG, DSO, Multimeter, FG etc.
