Responsibilities:
Documentation Creation: Develop and maintain comprehensive Technical Documentation, including user guides, API documentation, release notes, and other support materials for Startup Steroid.
Content Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, developers, QA, and other stakeholders to gather information and insights necessary for creating accurate and effective documentation.
User-Focused Approach: Ensure that documentation is user-focused, easily understandable, and provides value to a diverse audience, including investors, startups, and internal team members.
Documentation Updates: Regularly update existing documentation to reflect changes in features, functionality, and platform updates.
Quality Assurance: Review and edit documentation for clarity, consistency, and accuracy, ensuring that it adheres to established style guidelines.
Knowledge Transfer: Work closely with development teams to gain a deep understanding of technical aspects and translate them into user-friendly documentation.
Version Control: Maintain version control of documentation and ensure that the latest information is accessible to users.
Feedback Incorporation: Actively seek feedback from users and internal teams to continuously improve documentation based on evolving needs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in a technology or software development environment.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to communicate them effectively to various audiences.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with attention to detail and the ability to organize complex information.
- Familiarity with documentation tools and technologies, such as Markdown, Git, and documentation management systems.
- Experience in documenting APIs and software development practices is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a related field.
