General Information:
Hitachi Energy is looking for Sr. Technical Writer who will be responsible for generating innovative ideas for content while working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team and knowledgeable on creating learning modules using Articulate/Storyboard. The position will research products, services, technology, or concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience.
As a Sr. Technical Writer for Enterprise Software R&D Unit you will be a part of the respective local department, but also report to the R&D Team Manager.
Responsibilities
Create and update product documentation and descriptions without oversight.
Cooperate with Product Managers, UX Designers, Developers, and other Technical Writers
Speak with development teams to clarify feature details and specifications.
Take the lead of documentation projects.
Share your knowledge with other team members.
Test beta features and learn how our software works to become a subject matter expert.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Technical Writing, English, communications, or a related area of study
Fluent English (both written and spoken)
At least 5+ years in a similar role with some experience of writing for technical audiences
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills to prepare easy-to-read text in plain English
Practical knowledge of using international style guides for writing in English (Microsoft Manual of Style or the AP Stylebook) or STE
Experience working with a docs-as-code workflow and ability to prepare simple code samples
Experience with Technical Writing tools (MadCap Flare), content management systems, source control systems (Git), Jira, and Confluence
