Job Title:- Team Lead - Network Operations
Location:- Bangalore
Job Summary:
As a Network Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of network professionals and ensuring the organization's network infrastructure is reliable, secure, and efficient. You will play a critical role in network planning, design, implementation, and maintenance, as well as troubleshooting network-related issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with other IT teams and departments to ensure seamless network integration with various systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of network engineers and technicians.
- Set clear team goals and objectives and monitor progress.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations.
- Provide guidance and training to team members.
Network Design and Implementation:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess network requirements and design solutions.
- Plan and execute network infrastructure projects, including hardware and software upgrades.
- Ensure network scalability, redundancy, and high availability.
Network Maintenance and Monitoring:
- Oversee the day-to-day Network Operations, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Implement network monitoring tools and processes to proactively identify and address potential problems.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as updates and patches.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Vendor Management:
- Evaluate and select network hardware and software vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
- Negotiate pricing and terms for network equipment and services.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, Inventory and procedures.
- Create and update network diagrams and topology maps.
Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the network department's budget.
- Control costs and seek cost-effective solutions.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other IT teams and departments to ensure network integration with various systems and applications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams.
Qualifications:
- Any Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in network administration or engineering.
- Proven experience in Team Leadership and management.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies.
- Familiarity with network security best practices and tools.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Strong project management skills.
