About the Job
Systel is looking for a System Administrator who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of an organization's IT infrastructure. This includes managing servers, networks, and other critical components to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of the IT environment.

The Work
Must be able to diagnose, fix, and maintain desktop and server hardware.
Must be able to manage and configure Microsoft products such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Server, and Group Policy.
Must be able to manage and troubleshoot networking devices.
Must be able to manage endpoint security software and manage security threats if alerted.
Must be able to configure and secure SonicWALL, pfSense, and other firewall products.
Must be able to setup, deploy, and backup virtual machines using several virtualization platforms like VMware and Proxmox.
Must be able to manage and configure linux systems and commonly installed packages.
Must be able to collect data and submit reports based on that data.
Qualifications
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in any related field (or equivalent work experience).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proven experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of server and network technologies.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Red Hat).
Familiarity with virtualization technologies.
Knowledge of security best practices and tools.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good written communication skills.
Effective interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, etc.) are a plus.
