Job Brief:
As a Deal support analyst in our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting our business and portfolio management activities. You will work closely with the business team to evaluate potential business, conduct due diligence, and monitor portfolio companies. This role requires strong analytical skills, financial acumen, and a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
Due Diligence:
- Conduct comprehensive due diligence on prospective portfolio companies, including financial analysis, market research, and risk assessment.
- Prepare business memos and presentations for the business committee.
Financial Analysis:
- Evaluate the financial health and projections of startups to determine their creditworthiness.
- Create and analyze financial models to assess the potential return on business.
Portfolio Management:
- Assist in the management of the existing portfolio of business, monitoring their financial performance and adherence to loan covenants.
- Collaborate with portfolio companies to provide support and guidance as needed.
Risk Assessment:
- Assess and manage the risks associated with the portfolio, including market, credit, and operational risks.
- Recommend strategies to mitigate risks and enhance portfolio performance.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare regular reports on the business performance and compliance with business policies.
- Ensure that all business is following regulatory requirements.
Market Research:
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on market research.
Requirements and skills:
- Master's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field like CA
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in NBFC, business banking, or Fintech, etc.
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills.
- Knowledge of the startup ecosystem.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
