Sr Qa Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:

With minimal, or no, direction:

·       Create test cases for user stories (orother form of requirements documentation).

·       Create test plans for functional andregression (and possibly performance) testing.

·       Execute testing and document results in amanner that conforms to the team’s documented standards.

·       Log and evaluate defects identified inthe testing and provide appropriate follow-up until successfully remediated andretested.

·       Effectively communicate on the testing,including the planning, preparation, execution, and results.

·       Understand when and how to preserve anenvironment for potential re-execution of a test plan.

REQUIRED SKILLS ANDEXPERIENCE:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience (minimum 3 years)

·       Understanding of financial concepts(accounts payable, general ledger, etc.)

·       Understanding of the SDLC process

·       Understanding of insurance industry

·       Understanding of testing concepts

·       Understanding of Quality Assuranceconcepts

·       Ability to be pro-active and self-direct

·       Ability to build and maintain solidworking relationships

·       Strong attention to detail

·       Excellent documentation skills, demonstratingtraceability and best practices

·       Excellent communication and collaborationskills - must be a TEAM player

·       Strong analysis, problem solving and testskills

·       Experience with basic SQL queries

·       Experience with complex SQL queries

·       Ability to handle constantly changingpriorities

·       Excited by new technologies, and a loveof learning. Evidence of being self-motivated and driven

·       Understandingof Agile concepts

·       Experienceusing Jira, Confluence and Zephyr

·       Effectiveplanning and organizational skills

·       Testingextract, transform and load process, backend database validations.

·       Experiencewith automated testing tools, preferably including UFT and Selenium

·       Experiencewith performance testing

·       Experience working across multiple timezones

·       Experience working with both employeesand contractors

·       Work with and draw from other teams todrive efficiency and optimization (e.g., Test Automation)

·       Tableau or similar reporting tools.
