Position Title: Sr IT Analyst-Applications
Location: Bangalore, KA-India
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Solution Governance
- Performing validation and sign-off of business requirements and 3rd Party deliverables (i.e. coding, testing, documentation)
Design
- Collaborating with BAs to capture business requirements, impact analysis and working with 3rd party to identify time/cost delivery estimates
- Documenting technical specifications for solution development
- Documenting master data requirements for solution development, testing, and execution- Collaborating with BAs to capture test scenarios for solution validation (i.e. unit, string, integration, and UAT)
- Representing solution during design reviews prior to development hand-off
Vendor Management, as needed for business unit pull efforts
- Directing 3rd Party providers regarding development, testing, and documentation tasks
- Providing direction and clarity to resolve issues encountered with solution delivery
Level 4 Support
- Providing process / deep technical support to facilitate resolution of production incidents
- Ensuring change requests are appropriate and consistent with Excalibur SAP application roadmaps and compliance controls
Communication
- Working with Cat partners, GIS peers, and 3rd Party providers
- Providing weekly updates regarding status, risk, issues to business unit and GIS leadership
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ Years’ functional experience with SAP
- 3+ Years’ experience in gathering business requirements and developing functional specifications* 5+ Years’ experience in project leadership
- Familiarity with SAP ERP solutions used in CAT (i.e. Excalibur, MACH1, CGM, CBS, eSAP, OMP)
- Very strong analytical skills
- Very good written communication and documentation skills
- Good oral communication and interpersonal skills – multilingual (English is key)
- High customer focus
- Good planning & organizing skills
- Process-oriented
Desired Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in SAP SPP and GATP modules preferred
- Experience in SAP Source to Pay/Procure to Pay module
- Understanding of SAP configuration logic (SPRO)
- SAP Solution Manager (SOLMAN)
- Previous experience in managing, and executing, an integrated testing plan
- Understanding of TIDAL job scheduling
- Development & support system hierarchy and implementation paths
- Strong project leadership & management skills
- Knowledge of Caterpillar products, policies, and procedures
