The Cloudera Observability team is looking for passionate developers to join our growing engineering team. The team is responsible for building out the Monitoring platform for the market-leading Cloudera Data Platform. The goal of this team is to make a scalable, robust and cloud native Monitoring solution to detect and react on system failures and abnormal behaviors.
We are building a team of top-notch engineers that are passionate about distributed systems, scalability, test-driven development, and user experience. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing a diverse set of applications built for the multi-cluster, multi-region, multi-platform CDP Private and Public Cloud. Engineers on this team get to experience and learn how Cloudera’s largest customers rely on features they build to manage 3000+ node clusters. At the same time, apply those learnings to Kubernete
As the Software Engineer you will:
Ship high-quality distributed systems that runs on Kubernetes
Collaborate with engineers from various Big Data projects
Be a leader with a strong technical grasp and decisive judgment on prioritization
Work with product management to formulate a product roadmap
Coach junior engineers on all aspects of software development
We’re excited about you if you have:
2+ years of industry experience building software in a large scale production environment. We mainly use Go and Java, but we’re equally happy hiring people versed in other enterprise grade languages
General understanding of distributed systems, microservices-based architecture, networks and the web
Experience with systems design
Open-minded and desire to learn new technologies on a regular basis
You may also have :
Hands-on experience with Go language
Experience building and maintaining containerized applications on Kubernetes
Experience with open source monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Thanos, Grafana
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Openshift
