Job Description:
As Senior UI/UX Designer, you'll be responsible for collecting and translating user insights into delightful experiences. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and visually appealing features that address our customers' needs. You will use your creativity and eye for design – along with your technical knowledge – to develop great experiences. You'll work with a visual designer, product manager and our development team. Together you'll deliver UI mock-ups, prototypes, MVPs and final products. In this role, you'll have the privilege of being the voice of our customers. You'll translate their needs into user-friendly designs and have a direct impact on the customer's user-experience.
JOB DUTIES:
- Design the user experience of digital dealer and customer facing application to validate technologies and explore potential solutions to elevate customer experience.
- Create user journey maps, user flows, information architecture, site maps, and wireframes to define user experiences.
- Design and demonstrate detailed interaction design through storyboards, mock-ups, and clickable prototypes in Figma.
- Collaborate with Design Researchers, product owners and managers to understand user needs and translate requirements into compelling user experiences.
- Collaborate with UI developers and technical leads to understand the possible implications and feasibility.
- Create prototypes applying the Cat Design language, through the Cat Design System.
- Communicate design decisions to Product Managers and stakeholders, advocating for a user-cantered process.
- Share expertise and guidance through mentorship and coaching.
Basic qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 9 years of experience designing interactive digital experiences.
- Demonstrated leadership on small to medium-scale projects impacting strategic priorities
- Experience in working on design systems applying standards in the design layouts.
- Experience is conducting user research and usability test on web/mobile applications.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, including Developers, Product Managers, and Design Researchers.
- Proficiency working with Figma, Miro, Adobe Suite and other design and research tools.
- Experience working with Github and working on Azure DevOps in collaboration with developers.
- Ability to communicate UX concepts to different audiences to influence strategy based on user research data.
Top candidates will also have:
- Proven experience in many of the following,
- Designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining software at scale.
- Deploying software using CI/CD tools such as Azure Devops.
- Working within an Agile framework (ideally Scrum)
- Strong understanding and/or experience in many of the following,
- HTML5, CSS, Sass,
- Working on enterprise design systems
- Ability to work under pressure and within time constraints
- Passion for technology and an eagerness to contribute to a team-oriented environment
