High level job duties for Senior Principal of Data & Analytics Architecture would include –
Data Platforms Engineering & Architecture: Lead the development and evolution of big-data ecosystem and Data & AI platforms to enable data processing, storage, and retrieval, including the integration of structured data sources from enterprise transactional systems and trusted third parties and unstructured data sources, including IIoT data from manufacturing sites. Day to day responsibilities will specifically focus on the following -
- Design and implement secure, scalable, reliable, and high-performance data analytics platforms using cloud native stack on Azure & Databricks.
- Plan and lead the hands-on development of proof of concept and proof of value for various reusable Data & AI Platforms and Frameworks
- Design and implement efficient data integration processes using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other relevant tools.
- Lead strategic planning efforts for data and AI initiatives, identifying opportunities for innovation and driving alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and execute comprehensive architectural strategies for Azure Edge Computing, ensuring seamless connectivity between on-premises factory systems and cloud environments.
Collaboration: Engage with global teams from various disciplines to ensure architectural designs meet company objectives and encourage teamwork. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership on Data & AI skills and mentorship to junior architects and team member, drive innovation and ensure the adoption of industry best practices. Continuous Learning - Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering, and making recommendations for their adoption wherever appropriate
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or a related field. Minimum 16 years of work experience in building and managing data and analytics applications is required. Hands-on experience with data engineering tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, SQL Synapse Experience in Azure administration (or equivalent on AWS or GCP), including provisioning, networking, security, and monitoring of data platform-oriented cloud services. Proficient in automation using DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Familiarity with various RDBMS, distributed columnar data stores, NoSQL databases including graph databases, time-series databases, data streaming using Kafka, Events Hub, or Kinesis Strong knowledge of FinOps Principles and ability to define and implement FinOps practices for monitoring cloud spend. Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
Preferred Qualifications
- Azure (or AWS or GCP) administration and DevOps for CI/CD.
- Strong project management skills with experience in executing projects using Agile delivery framework.
- Expertise with Azure (or AWS or GCP) Industrial IoT for manufacturing scenarios.
- Experience on regulated systems including GxP, SoX, HIPAA & GDPR
- Professional/Architect level certifications from leading Cloud Service Provider is a plus.
- Should have knowledge of Applied AI services & capabilities such as Data Robot, AzureML, Computer Vision, Digital Twins, ML Engineering, MLOps, Feature Stores, Cognitive Applications
- Familiarity with domain knowledge in supply chain, manufacturing, pharma, and life sciences is a plus.
- Experience working with regulated systems including GxP, SoX, HIPAA, and GDPR.
