Job Highlights
Please shortly describe the most important, appealing 5 to 8 tasks of this position:
Domestic Transport (Freight) Procurement - Process owner of all the Domestic Transportation related tenders for all LX India business locations including manufacturing sites & third party manufacturing sites. Monitor volumes of existing suppliers for effective freight negotiations
Transport Evaluation & Audit compliances - Ensure complete adherence to evaluation & selection procedures of Transporters / Logistics service providers to comply with various internal & external audits conducted for the department periodically
Master Data Management for Logistics function.
E- WAYBILL COMPLIANCE - To ensure that the Logistics teams at all LX India business locations are supported for having a fully compliant & efficient set up for E Waybills
Transport Management System – Support - Coordinate with LXS Germany for implementation of processes related to the transport management system
Special Logistics Projects - To coordinate with vendors for planned execution of special logistics projects
MIS – Departmental reporting for Logistics area - To extract and maintain quality reports related to transport operations, spend & savings
Additional role - Logistics, Region India Controlling - Budgeting and Controlling for Logistics (India).
Requirements
Please enter up to 8 requirements –with at least 4 ‚must-haves‘ which are vital to fill out the job right from the beginning:
- Specific Education - Graduate in any stream (B Com, BSc, BA etc.), MBA (preferred)
- Work Experience - 5 - 10 Yr.
- Special Skills - Needs to know: Knowledge of transport industry, transportation related Documentation, SAP, Complete domestic transportation operations. Should be able to handle the contracts with various vendors, viz. CFAs, Transporters etc.Shoul have Business acumen with responsibility, independent, creativity, flexibility, good communication, fast action and team work.
- Should be able to work in close coordination with the cross functional teams and develop good rapport with the colleagues as internal party and all the vendors as external parties. Should take initiative, Self starter and should be able to get tasks done.
- Language : Spoken and written English and Hindi
